City News Interview, Safety Dawg Speaks
City News called and asked my opinion about the "Transportation of Dangerous Goods" regulations in Canada.
It was a very unfortunate incident on Highway 401 March 14, 2017. A truck driver lost his life while he earned a living for himself and/or his family. I offer my condolences to his family.
Tragedies like this don't happen very often but when they do it certainly makes the news. The Ontario Provincial government tells us that trucking keeps getting safer and safer every year. But that fact doesn't help the driver that lost his like or his family.
We are getting safer, and I'm proud of our industry. Can we do better? YES, we can continue to improve. The Transportation of Dangerous Goods is a necessary part of trucking and our economy. Overall Trucking does it safely.
I give some thoughts regarding the Transportation of Dangerous Goods in this news video. I start my comments at about the 57 second mark. And once again I offer my condolences to the family of our fallen driver.
